Getting Started
How do I start using EarnCall?
On first launch a welcome screen offers two ways in: Enter Briefing Room, which opens the Dashboard, and Browse Company Universe, which opens the Companies list. Your choice is remembered, so later launches open straight into the app. No account and no sign-up are needed.
What are the five tabs?
- Dashboard: the market pulse for the latest quarter plus leaderboards.
- Companies: a searchable, filterable list of the profiled companies.
- Impact: a cross-company ranking of post-earnings price moves.
- Calendar: the earnings schedule in a month grid or grouped list.
- Compare: pick up to five companies and compare them side by side.
Which companies does EarnCall cover?
EarnCall profiles 20 leading companies in depth, from Apple, Microsoft, and NVIDIA to TSMC, SAP, and Uber, and follows the earnings schedule for 172 of the largest US-listed companies across the S&P 500 top 100, the DJIA 30, and the Nasdaq-100.
Is EarnCall free?
Yes. EarnCall is free to download and all current features are available at no cost, with no ads and no account required.
Using the App
What does the Dashboard show?
The Dashboard summarizes the latest quarter: how many companies are tracked, how many analysts rate bullish or bearish, average revenue growth, and average gross margin. Leaderboards rank the top revenue, fastest growing, and highest gross margin companies.
How do I find a company?
Open the Companies tab, then search by name or ticker, filter by sector, and sort by name, revenue, growth, or margin. Each company shows its analyst sentiment as Bullish, Neutral, or Bearish.
What’s in a company’s detail view?
Its next earnings date, call time, and consensus EPS estimate when scheduled; a financial snapshot (revenue, net income, EPS, gross and operating margins, free cash flow, and year-over-year revenue growth); the earnings-call price impact; quarterly revenue and EPS trend charts; and the latest call’s highlights, guidance, executive quotes, analyst questions, growth drivers, and risks.
How does the earnings-call price impact work?
For each of the last calls, EarnCall compares the average closing price over the three trading days before a release with the three days after, so you can see how the market really reacted. It also shows the first-session move and the move net of the S&P 500. Today’s bar is left out until the market has settled, so a live price is never measured as a close.
What does the Impact tab rank?
Impact ranks every profiled company by its latest post-earnings reaction, with a summary of gainers versus decliners and a Beats vs. Misses card. Sort by latest move, move versus the S&P 500, average move, volatility, or ticker.
How do I read the Calendar?
The Calendar shows the earnings schedule from the past month through the next three months, in a month grid or a grouped list. Each call is marked Reported, Today, or Upcoming, and reported calls show actual versus estimated EPS.
How does Compare work?
On the Compare tab, pick up to five companies and choose a metric, revenue, net income, EPS, gross margin, operating margin, revenue growth, or free cash flow. You get a bar chart, a side-by-side table, and analyst sentiment for each company.
Where do the call summaries come from?
Highlights, guidance, growth drivers, and risks are generated right on your device using Apple’s Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) when your device supports it. On devices without it, the most relevant transcript sentences are shown instead, and a caption on the card tells you which was used. Executive quotes and analyst questions are always verbatim transcript sentences.
Is EarnCall investment advice?
No. EarnCall is for informational purposes only and is not investment advice. Data may be delayed or incomplete; always do your own research before making investment decisions.
Troubleshooting
A company’s data is unavailable or looks stale
EarnCall loads company data when it opens, a few companies at a time, and a company that fails is retried on the next load. Returning the app to the foreground on a new day refreshes everything. If a section shows an “unavailable” state, open the app again with a working connection to let it finish loading.
The price badge says “Saved” instead of “Live”
The Impact tab’s badge shows whether this session’s prices are fresh or from the last successful fetch. A “Saved” badge means EarnCall is showing cached numbers while it loads new ones, or because a source was temporarily unreachable.
Why is a quarter missing or a transcript not shown?
Call history builds up over launches as transcripts are fetched one at a time. A quarter whose prices can’t be resolved is skipped, and a call without a transcript yet is retried later. Open the app periodically with a connection and more history fills in.
The app is crashing
Update to the latest version from the App Store and restart your device. If the problem continues, please contact us with your device model and iOS version.
Privacy and Data
Does EarnCall have accounts or collect personal data?
No. There is no account or sign-up, and EarnCall does not collect personal data, use analytics, or show ads.
What leaves my device?
Only requests for public market data: tickers and dates sent to Yahoo Finance, SEC EDGAR, Finnhub, and the app’s own transcript proxy to fetch public financials, prices, the earnings calendar, and call transcripts. No personal information and no user identifier is sent. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Is my data stored anywhere online?
No. The last successfully fetched company data and schedule are cached only on your device so the app has something to show on the next launch. Uninstalling the app removes it.
Permissions
What permissions does EarnCall request?
None. EarnCall does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, or photos. It makes ordinary outbound requests for public market data over the network, which iOS does not prompt for.
Compatibility
iOS 26.2 or later · iPhone and iPad
